Balenciaga est une maison de couture fondée par le maître couturier et génie de la mode Cristóbal Balenciaga, l'empereur du luxe des années 1960, que Dior appelait « le maître de nous tous ». Il est considéré comme l'un des trois grands hommes de son temps avec Coco Chanel et Christian Dior. Par conséquent, il n'est pas étonnant que les parfums Balenciaga aient été conçus pour être emblématiques et intemporels. Les parfums Balenciaga se distinguent par leur élégance, leur classe et leur raffinement.

Une histoire qui commence en 1947, lors de la présentation de Le Dix, un parfum floral chypré pour femme, le premier succès du maître espagnol, le premier d'une longue série.

Deux ans passent et un autre chef-d'œuvre (désormais introuvable) suit les traces de Le Dix, La Fuite des Heures.

Seuls de grands succès suivront dans les années à venir dans la parfumerie féminine Balenciaga : Quadrille en 1955, Michelle en 1979, Rumba en 1989.

Les hommes n'ont pas été moins chanceux, car Balenciaga a créé des parfums étonnants comme Ho Hang en 1972, un parfum boisé-épicé sur une base ambrée, qui est toujours recherché aujourd'hui, car les parfums Balenciaga sont vraiment intemporels.

Beaucoup se sont demandé s'il n'y avait pas mieux à faire, on ne peut pas porter de jugement mais Portos, messieurs Portos en 1982 est de quoi vous laisser sans voix, un boisé riche en cuir et en mousse de conte de fées.
